Welcome to Our New Location
Grace meets inside SFC’s The Gathering as of August 20, 2023
We enjoyed our time meeting in the FCA building, but after outgrowing the space Grace needed to find a larger location, a spot to call home for the time being while we search for a permanent solution. When Sioux Falls Christian School reached out and invited us to consider their chapel space, we discovered exactly what we needed. The chapel could accommodate four times as many worshipers as our old sanctuary, and it was located in The Gathering building right across the parking lot. That made the move straightforward and ensured that, for people accustomed to our former location, the new one would be easy to find!
Finding the New Building
The new address is 6101 S. Charger Circle, and the easiest way to approach is to turn into the main entrance to Sioux Falls Christian School. You’ll find us on your immediate right. Look for the Grace signs to guide you. We’re inside the large, grey building, which is called The Gathering. You can find more information about it here (including instructions on booking space during the week). Park in the lot that wraps around the building — there are spaces on both sides and some up front, and even additional room behind the building.

When you enter the building, you’ll find yourself in a spacious reception area. There’s coffee brewed and plenty of room for fellowship. Restrooms and coat racks are down the hall to your left, and ahead are two entryways into the sanctuary. The nursery is located on the righthand side of the lobby, just past the elevator. At the center of the lobby you’ll find our welcome table. If you have any questions about wayfinding, one of our welcomers is happy to assist.
Inside the Sanctuary
As you pass through one of the two entryways into the sanctuary, you will find an Order of Worship on a table in the passage. Take one, because this printed booklet includes the liturgy, music, and information for the worship service. Once you’re inside, feel free to seat yourself in any of the three sections on the main floor. (Although there is a balcony, we are not using it at this time.)
Coming Forward For Communion
At Grace, we come forward for communion, so your choice of seats will determine how you approach the front to participate. If you are seated in the Left section, you will exit toward the inner aisle to your right for communion, then after you finish you’ll return down the outer aisle. If you're in the Right section, you’ll exit to the left to come forward, then return via the outer aisle to your right. Those who sit in the Center can choose which aisle to come forward — just remember to return to your seat via the outer aisle, which means you’ll have a little farther to walk.
The Offering Box
Giving is, of course, an act of worship. We have a variety of ways to give — you can explore them all by clicking here. Note that Grace does not pass an offering plate during the worship service. One of our deacons will pray to dedicate tithes and offerings during the service, but no plate will come around. Instead, if you’d like to give your tithes and offerings before, during, or after worship, you will find a locked offering box inside the sanctuary.
Classroom Locations
Our welcomers will help you locate classrooms during the Sunday School hour. For most ages, the classes will meet upstairs, but you will find Adult Sunday School in the sanctuary. If you’re uncertain where to go, just join us in the sanctuary and someone will be happy to assist.
no Lost and found
Because Grace only uses this space on Sundays and for other occasional services, and a variety of groups may be in and out throughout the week, be sure to take your belongings with you and don’t forget anything in the sanctuary, lobby, or one of the classrooms.
