Pastor John will being his eight-part summer series on covenant theology this Sunday with a look at the relationship between God and human beings before and after the fall, as recounted in Genesis 1-3.

What is God’s mission in the world and how does he go about accomplishing it? This 8-part series traces the story of God’s purpose and work in the world. Beginning in the Garden of Eden and culminating in the person of Jesus Christ, we will follow the Lord’s covenant promises to his people throughout the ages.

“In the beginning God created…” God is the creator of all life and he has placed mankind as the chief over all of his creation. The opening chapters of Genesis orient us to understand the nature of God and mankind, our relationships with one another, and the suffering we experience in this life.
